Do my guests need an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code with their camera and the menu opens in the browser – automatically in their phone’s language, as long as you have enabled it.
How reliable are the AI translations?
Every translation is checked and rated by a second AI model. You also get a back-translation into your language, so you can verify the meaning even in languages you don’t speak. Protect regional terms like “Currywurst” in the glossary – and you decide what goes live.
Who is responsible for allergen information?
Legally, your business is – no software changes that. VeroMenu supports you: AI suggests allergens, unclear cases go to the review list, and guests only ever see information you have confirmed. If a recipe changes, the information is automatically sent back for review.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Not for the guest menu. We set no cookies there and count views anonymously using a daily-rotating, irreversible hash – no profiles, no tracking.
Can I bring over my existing menu?
Yes. Upload a photo or PDF – AI recognises categories, dishes, prices and sizes. You see a preview and only apply what’s correct.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Germany. For AI features, only your menu content is transmitted – never your guests’ data. A data processing agreement (DPA) is included.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, all paid plans can be cancelled monthly. The Free plan stays free forever.
Can guests order directly at the table?
Yes, on the Pro plan. Guests order via their table’s QR code and the order appears instantly on the order board – accept it manually or automatically.
